I have been very moved by Alvin Baltrop’s life and photographs and also feel his history in relation to his work not being recognised as it should have been resonates with many black gay/bi (using the best words I can to describe real experiences) artists / photographers here in the UK. Would it be possible to discuss the ways of being able to show his work at our gallery in London – http://www.usurp.org.uk
I have a specific interest in his work and wish I had had the chance to meet him after spending most of my teens in the late 70′s / 80′s photographing South Asian LGBTT communities which did finally result in a book “Red Threads” published by Millivres press.
Could we talk / email about the possibility?
